(엑스포츠뉴스 박윤서 기자) 일본 야구 대표팀에 승선한 다나카 마사히로(33)의 올림픽 등판 일정 윤곽이 드러났다.
일본 스포니치 아넥스 는 26일 “일본 대표팀이 요미우리 자이언츠와의 평가전에서 5-0으로 이겼다. 선발로 등판한 다나카는 2⅔이닝 1피안타 무실점을 기록했다. 그는 백신 접종 후유증으로 2주 만에 실전 등판을 치렀지만, 우려를 떨쳐버렸다 라고 전했다.
이어 다나카는 8월 1일에 열리는 토너먼트 1라운드 또는 2일 2라운드에 선발 등판할 가능성이 농후하다. 일본은 28일 개막전에서 도미니카 공화국과 격돌한다 라고 덧붙였다.

The University of Nebraska just hired its fourth athletic director since it joined the Big Ten a decade ago. Trev Alberts, a Husker alumnus and former Butkus Award winner, is tasked with righting a football team that’s 12-20 under third-year coach Scott Frost, and a basketball team that’s 14-45 under second-year coach Fred Hoiberg. Both were hired by Alberts’ predecessor, Bill Moos, who struck a deal to pay Frost $5 million and Hoiberg $3.9 million a year, respectively.
In March, Ryan Bamford marked his sixth year of sitting in the big chair at UMass. Bamford’s had his ups and downs the Pat Kelsey fiasco, the AyAnna Hickman lawsuit, but his saving grace was hiring Greg Carvel.
