I found something unexpected in a random cave in
Outriders. It’s a formation of rocks and shells that looks a lot like a penguin. Or at least, I think it does. Perhaps I’m just losing my mind after a year of pandemic-induced lockdown.

Outriders griefers are kicking co-op players out of endgame missions before they can get their loot.
The game s endgame, dubbed Expeditions, features a number of rock hard encounters that, if completed, reward powerful loot.

These Expeditions only reward loot upon completion. After clearing the final encounter, you trot over to a drop pod, activate it, and it spits out your loot. This is where the trolls are stepping in to ruin their victim s day, kicking them out before they can reach the drop pod.

Outriders demo released in March 2021, I perked up when I heard that it’s a cross between
Destiny and
Mass Effect thrown in. I’ve never played
Destiny, but anyone who knows my gaming history knows how much I love the latter two. Outriders developer People Can Fly has announced the acquisition of Phosphor Games, a Chicago-based developer known for games like Gemini: Heroes Reborn, Nether, the VR shooter game The Brookhaven Experiment, and more recently Warhammer 40,000: Dakka Squadron, which launched in February.
CEO Justin Corcoran said in a statement:
A new chapter opens for our team. We are very excited to be joining People Can Fly to open a brand new Triple-A studio – People Can Fly Chicago. Our goal is to strengthen PCF’s presence in the US and help build People Can Fly as a global brand.
