HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) directed officials to continue the distribution of medical kits while conducting the Fever Survey while implementing a two-pronged strategy to curb the Coronavirus crisis in the State.
He claimed that the programme of providing medical kits via house-to-house fever surveys for corona was being carried out in a way that was unique to the region.
For corona testing, the number of rapid antigen test kits should be increased immediately. It was proposed that, starting tomorrow, the number of kits distributed in all medical centres be increased, and that the manufacturers be contacted to increase the supply as required.

Hyderabad, May 24 : Telangana police continued to strictly implement the lockdown across the state, which entered its 13th day on Monday. Following the direction of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday, the police became strict with the implementation of lockdown norms from Saturday. Police in the three police commissionerates in Hyderabad and surroundings and in the rest of the state are dealing firmly with the lockdown violators. Traffic jams were seen at several places on Monday after four-hour relaxation ended at 10 a.m. Motorists found on roads after 10 a.m. were stopped at various points and cases were booked against them.

Food delivery platforms Swiggy and Zomato were forced to suspend their operations in Hyderabad on Saturday after police cracked down on delivery executives in an unprecedented manner in a bid to enforce strict lockdown measures.
Beginning on Saturday morning till the evening, the Hyderabad police stopped Swiggy and Zomato delivery executives from going about their job. These executives were also fined and the police seized many bikes. The police in Hyderabad operates out of across three commissionerates: Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda. Videos circulated on social media platforms also showed cops lathi-charging a person wearing a Zomato T-shirt.
This crackdown by the city’s police departments have taken despite the Telangana government issuing an order, on May 12, allowing e-commerce delivery of foods, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment during the newly imposed lockdown in the state.

Hyderabad, May 20 : Police in Hyderabad and the rest of Telangana have become stricter with the implementation of lockdown. On the direction of Director General of Police M. Mahender Reddy, police officials on Thursday began taking measures to enforce the state-wide lockdown more strictly. Senior officials including police commissioners and superintendents of police were in the field post 10 a.m. to ensure that people abide by the lockdown norms
More personnel were seen at checkpoints in Hyderabad to stop and check vehicles after four-hour relaxation ended at 10 a.m. An official said only those people exempted from lockdown norms are being allowed while vehicles of others are being seized for violations.
