Another nine new COVID-19 cases were being reported by the Brant County Health Unit on Friday, bringing the total active cases to 106.
Two of those people are being treated in hospital.

There have been 709 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brantford and the County of Brant since the outset of the pandemic in March. Of those cases, 598 have been resolved.
Five local people have died from the virus.
Two schools in the GEDSB have been affected by COVID-19.
The Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit has confirmed a COVID-19 case in the McKinnon Park Secondary School community.
Principal Cathi Krueger notes that, for privacy reasons, the identity of the individual isn’t being disclosed.
The other school affected was Tollgate Technological Skills Centre, where the Brant County Health Unit confirmed a COVID case.
Both schools have reached out to students and staff deemed to be close contacts to the affected individuals.
The two schools remain open.
