MUMBAI: In view of the surge in Covid-19 cases, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday announced new guidelines for the state. The new norms will be implemented from 8pm on Monday. Also, a complete lockdown will be imposed on weekends.
The following are the fresh restrictions issued by the state government:
Curbs Complete lockdown on weekends 8pm Friday to 7am Monday only essential services allowed. Night curfew (from 8pm to 7am) throughout the week, can step out only for emergency/essential work. During the day, gathering of 5 or more persons not allowed (Section 144 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC)).
