Ministry of Health has clarified that getting vaccinated for
COVID-19 will be voluntary. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has answered a series of frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the
coronavirus vaccine including how long it takes for antibodies to develop and if it is necessary for a COVID-recovered person to take the vaccine. The ministry said vaccines will be introduced in the country only after the regulatory bodies clear them based on their safety and efficacy. It also said that it is advisable to receive a complete schedule of COVID vaccine irrespective of past history of infection with COVID-19. Meanwhile, the COVID-19 active caseload remained below four lakh for the 12th consecutive day.
