Rachael Ostovich signs with BKFC

Rachael Ostovich has signed with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. Ostovich was released from the UFC in December after losing three in a row. After the release, many were curious where she would sign as many pointed to Bellator given she is a Hawaiian, where Bellator holds events every year and is marketable. Yet, on Tuesday, it was announced BKFC signed the 30-year-old.     Rachael Ostovich is coming off a third-round TKO loss to Gina Mazany in November. Before that, she was submitted by Paige VanZant on the first show on ESPN+. She also lost to Montana De La Rosa by submission back in 2018.

UFC Vegas 20: Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs Ciryl Gane - Fights to make

Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC UFC Vegas 20: Rozenstruik vs. Gane is all wrapped up. And what looked to be a promising, high level card on paper, unfortunately turned into something of a slog. Ciryl Gane proved that he can fight a cautious, winning bout at a very high level but that’s hardly what anyone hoped to see when he was matched up with heavyweight KO artist Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Magomed Ankalaev, similarly, failed to thrill in the co-main but continued to look like a tough problem to solve at light heavyweight. So, is Gane getting rushed too far too fast as a headlining fighter, with only three years of pro MMA experience? Is Ankalaev primed for a top contender’s bout? And can Pedro Munhoz make his bid for contention off a big win over Jimmie Rivera?

Women s MMA Weekend Review: Davis Bests Mazo; Draw for De La Rosa vs Silva

UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Gane was cut from three female bouts to two when one of Ashley Yoder’s cornermen tested positive for COVID-19. This forced a rescheduling of Yoder’s bout with Angela Hill. The two remaining contests were exciting for different reasons. Alexis Davis put on a beautiful performance against Sabina Mazo, while Montana De La Rosa and Mayra Bueno Silva engaged in an incredible fight. Let’s take a look at both bouts. Advertisement Alexis Davis vs. Sabina Mazo Davis defeated Mazo via unanimous decision, but there’s not a whole lot to write about. It was three rounds of the same thing. I thought Davis would look for takedowns off of Mazo’s kicks, and that is just what she did.
