How To Follow And Participate In The 2021 Montana Legislature

William Marcus / Montana Public Radio The 2021 Montana Legislature has begun, and it looks different this year due to the part remote, part in-person arrangement adopted in response to COVID-19. Here s how you can stay informed and make your voice heard during the session. New this session is the ability to participate remotely via video. You will be able to select from the bills that are currently scheduled for hearing for the next 3 days. By noon the day before the hearing, you will be able to submit your written testimony, write a brief message, or request a Zoom link to testify in the bill hearing. You do not have to testify in order to submit written comments. Rules supported by the Republican majority make clear that committee chairs are not required to take virtual testimony in the event of a technical difficulty. Learn more about remote participation.
