The Richmond Fire Department rescued 19 people from their vehicles on Wednesday after scattered storms moving through the region caused flash flooding around Central Virginia.
Nineteen people were rescued from their vehicles after getting trapped in high water in Wednesday afternoon's flash floods, according to the Richmond Fire Department.

Scott’s Addition is constantly flush with new apartments, but a local developer is trying out a residential product of a different sort: condos.
Spy Rock Real Estate Group is planning a 134-unit condo project at 3406 Carlton St. at the intersection of Roseneath Road and Carlton Street.
The roughly 3.7-acre site is owned by Riverside Brick & Supply Co., a 150-year-old masonry company. Riverside President Mike Wray and Spy Rock Principal Andrew Basham both confirmed that Spy Rock has the land under contract for purchase.

A man was shot on the 400 block of Maury Street in Montgomery Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m. MPD and fire medics found the victim when they arrived at the scene on a call of a person shot.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. At the moment, there is no information on the suspect of this shooting and it is still under investigation.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Richmond Fire Department is reminding drivers to move over or slow down when they see flashing lights after one of RFDâs trucks was hit on Wednesday morning.
Crews were called around 10:12 a.m. for a vehicle fire on Interstate 95 south between Maury Street and Bells Road.
