“The special features of the scheme include separate earmarking of funds for MSMEs and incentivizing sales up-to 20 times of minimum cumulative yearly investment for the purpose of benefits,” Prakash told ET, a day after the government released the guidelines for companies to avail benefits under the scheme.
Investment will include expenditure incurred on new plant, machinery, equipment and associated utilities, research and development, and transfer of technology relating to the facilities setup for the products.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on Friday notified the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for white goods - Air Conditioners, LED Lights, etc - manufacturers in India.
The PLI scheme will provide incentives to white goods manufacturers within the overall financial limits of Rs 6,238 crore over a period of 5 years from FY 2021-22 to FY 2028-29. The application window for the PLI scheme will be open from June 15 to September 15 2021.
