Housemarque needs extra time to polish its third-person shooter

The official PlayStation Twitter account broke the news on Thursday morning (January 26). Before, Housemarque confirmed a March 19, 2021 release date for the third-person shooter. Now, it’ll debut six weeks later on April 30.
âSIE (Sony Interactive Entertainment) and Housemarque have made the decision to move the release date in order to give the team extra time to continue to polish the game to the level of quality players expect from Housemarque,â the PlayStation account explained.

Sony has a few excellent looking PS5 exclusives lined up for 2021. Returnal from Housemarque Studios is one of them, but to give the team some extra time to polish the experience, the game has been delayed from its original March 19th release date.
In a tweet this afternoon, the official PlayStation Twitter account announced that the game is having its release date moved from the 19th of March to the 30th of April. This will give the team “extra time to continue to polish the game to the level of quality players expect”.

Returnal, from
Resogun developer Housemarque, won’t appear in on March 19, 2021. Sony took to the PlayStation Twitter account to reveal it will now launch on April 30, 2021.
The tweet offered a brief explanation as to why it won’t appear as planned. It cited a desire to ensure the game meets people’s expectations and is a solid experience.
