KUALA LUMPUR: Proton is anticipating that all car brands will post their best numbers for the year as Malaysia s automative industry hits its stride in 2021.
According to Proton Edar CEO Roslan Abdullah, the carmaker expects total industry volume to be over 63,000 units. For Proton, March was a very good sales month as we achieved our highest figure in 90 months but our sense of achievement is tempered by the fact that it could have been even better if we were able to produce more units, he said in a statement.
Proton s sales in March hit 14,989 units, which was a 26.2% increase over the previous month and its best month since September 2013, on the back of growing deliveries for its two SUV models.
