Kanpur, U.P: To kick start their recent association and to strengthen their efforts towards promoting indigenous innovation, Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) and SIIC IIT Kanpur will hold Launchpad Competition on 23rd April 2021.
The SICCI-SIIC INNOVATION LAUNCHPAD – a start-up pitch competition will be held on a virtual platform. The event will be conducted from 2.30 PM (Singapore Time) to 4:30 PM (Singapore Time) / 12 PM (IST) to 2 PM (IST).
The launchpad event involves nine pre-selected contestants – five from Singapore and four from India. They will participate to present a virtual pitch of their ideas to the judges. Two winners; one from Singapore and one from India, will be awarded a token of appreciation of SGD 2000 each on the same day.

the Honourable Registrar of the institute, Prof. Pradip Kumar Das, to address the questions hovering about some major decisions and other pressing issues revolving around the institute’s administrative sovereignty. The e-bike PiMo is priced at ₹30,000 IIT Madras-incubated start-up Pi Beam on Tuesday launched an electric two-wheeler that can charge faster than a smartphone and comes with a range of 50 km. Called ‘PiMo,’ the sustainable and affordably priced utility e-bike is targeted towards personal and commercial needs.
Priced at ₹30,000, PiMo does not require licence or registration and offers green and easy mobility on Indian roads. Nearly 90 per cent of PiMo’s product components, including the crucial batteries and controllers, are manufactured in India, thus being one of the few EVs in the local market to thoroughly embody the ‘Make in India’ spirit. Pi Beam aims to sell 10,000 vehicles by the end of next financial year (2021-22), says a company release.
