A mobile court has fined a couple for undergoing coronavirus tests multiple times by hiding their identity in Faridpur. );

Boalmari Upazila Executive Officer Jhoton Chanda on Friday imposed the Tk 20,000 fines on Hafizur Rahman, 36, a senior executive at Prime Bank’s local branch, and his wife Tayeba Akter Mila, 26.
Jhoton said Hafizur and Tayeba gave samples at the Upazila health complex on Apr 5 and the result of Tayeba’s test came back positive the following day.
The couple gave samples again identifying themselves as Ripon Khan and Nila Begum on Apr 8 and both tested positive.

Puremarkets Ltd, with trading name Pure Digital, have entered into an agreement with State Street’s Currenex, a market-leading technology provider offering high-performance trading technology, to provide the trading infrastructure as technology provider for Pure Digital’s new and unique wholesale digital currency trading platform. Additionally, Pure Digital and State Street intend to further explore the digital currency trading space.
Pure Digital will be a fully automated, high throughput OTC market for digital assets and cryptocurrencies with physical delivery and bank custody. Institutional participants will trade on the platform utilising bilateral credit enabling efficient capital utilisation and control for all trading participants. This will establish a robust market for price discovery and exchange of risk. Trading is expected to commence middle of 2021.

Hassan O Rashid has joined Prime Bank Ltd as the new managing director and chief executive officer. );

Prior to joining the Prime Bank, Rashid was additional managing director at Eastern Bank Ltd.
In his eight-year stint, he is “lauded for his leadership role in achieving balance sheet growth and driving the transformation journey of the Eastern Bank”, according to a statement from his new office.
Rashid brings in more than 27 years of experience in banking industry both in local and multinational banks in senior positions in corporate, risk management, SME and retail banking. He started his career with Credit Agricole Indosuez and later moved to HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank in different senior leadership positions.
