announces 2021 lineup
The Lancaster Festival Board of Directors on Tuesday announced a string of outdoor performances, with signature acts appearing at the Wendel Concert Stage on the Ohio University Lancaster Campus July 24-29.
The schedule:

July 24: The first performance of the 2021 Lancaster Festival will feature The Band Perry and the Lancaster Festival Orchestra. The Band Perry will perform its first concert with a symphony orchestra, which will be conducted by Maestro Gary Sheldon in the opening night program.
• July 26: Byron Stripling Band with special guest Bobby Floyd on piano will take center stage at the Monday Night Jazz Concert.

LOS ANGELES - The Breakaway Music Festival has officially announced its three scheduled fall dates, and that each one will have an NFT component, organizers announced today.
An NFT (non-fungible token) is based on the blockchain technology, and it is one of the hottest trends as musicians and other artists are jumping into cryptocurrency, such as the recent Kings of Leon album release.
Calling itself the “leading college-focused touring festival in the country,” organizers said in a release that the Breakaway Festival will offer “as part of the initial on sale for the events. limited edition ticket bundles that include an exclusive NFT for the first 500 fans who buy tickets in the presale.”

This isn t the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic about a year ago that live music has attempted something of a comeback.
Last summer, some smaller venues attempted to begin hosting sporadic concerts after the May 14 Dine Safe Ohio Order gave the go-ahead to musicians and bands to perform in restaurants and bars that met social-distancing requirements. In September, promotion company Prime Social Group introduced the Westland Mall Drive-in concert series featuring local and national acts.
