The Occupational Health and Safety (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) Regulations into
The Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 2020, to assist in reducing confusion for employers, contractors and workers as to the various requirements; and
making housekeeping changes to ensure the language of the regulations are clear, is in keeping with the original intent and that they will help reduce the number of potential workplace injuries. The regulations have also been renumbered from previous versions, which employers should take notice of in the amended regulations.
As part of a Canada-wide initiative to reduce barriers in the area of occupational health and safety, the following personal protective standards have also been adopted but did not require an amendment to the regulations:

MDA extends satellite operations capability through contract award by the Canadian Space Agency

BRAMPTON, ON, Jan. 29, 2021 /CNW/ - MDA today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) to provide satellite flight operations and data management services for the Agency s Earth observation and space situational awareness satellite missions.
MDA will provide spacecraft health monitoring and control, operational analysis, basic system maintenance, data order handling, image quality control and data processing and archiving for the RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM), SCISAT and NEOSSat from the CSA s Multi-Mission Control Centre in Longueuil, Quebec.

The NC IDEA Foundation is offering two grant opportunities for startups this season: NC IDEA MICRO provides $10,000 project-based grants to entrepreneurs looking to validate and advance their ideas. NC IDEA SEED provides $50,000 grants to early-stage companies, giving them the boost they need to scale faster. Applications for the spring 2021 cycle open on Feb. 1 and close on March 1.
