A post from a man on a community Facebook group claimed his 21-year-old nephew, who is a third-year medical student at Otago University, was repeatedly told he was not allowed to buy food at the fair. The post was written by the man s uncle Philip Balle, who was at the fair with his nephew and other family members to support their local primary school - despite Saturday s rain.
