GPs critical of planning around Covid vaccine rollout

General practitioners are worried District Health Boards are leaving their planning too late as the Covid vaccination rollout prepares to shift gears. Dr Vanessa Weenink, chair of the General Practitioners Council of the New Zealand Medical Association, said there had been no evidence of large-scale and detailed operational planning at the level of DHBs. “To have a successful vaccination programme, New Zealand will need to learn from international experience, and it must include the participation of primary care.”
