The Fayette County Commissioners made a couple of appointments during their meeting on Monday, March 1st.
Myron Priest of Washington CH was re-appointed as a Trustee of Fayette County Memorial Hospital, extending his appointment to May 2nd of this year. Beth Potts was also appointed as a county prevention specialist to the Central Ohio Regional Prevention Council for a two-year term effective March 1st.
The Commissioners also authorized the Fayette County Engineer to enter into a contract with Burgess & Niple Inc. of Cincinnati to provide engineering design work for the rehabilitation of bridges on Prairie Road, Snow Hill Road and Zimmerman Road. The contract comes with an estimated cost of $18,500, with the work scheduled for this summer.

WILMINGTON, Ohio (FOX19) - A worker at a Clinton County industrial facility was hospitalized in a fire late Tuesday, Wilmington fire officials say.
The cause of the fire and possible explosion at Azek Building Products (TimberTech) off Prairie Road remains under investigation, said Wilmington Fire Lt. Brant Schmitt
Police and fire officials from five departments responded to a report of a dryer explosion about 9:30 p.m.
