ELLSWORTH, Maine Online applications are currently being accepted at the Maine Community Foundation for the Sally Stetson Tongren Scholarship Fund for Aroostook County and the Wendell S. Doody Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Tongren Scholarship Fund for Aroostook County is available to graduating seniors from Aroostook County high schools who are seeking post-secondary education. Eligible post-secondary education can include, but not be limited to, undergraduate education, trade and technical education, and post-secondary remedial education. Graduate education may be considered for renewal candidates.

In a letter to the district, SAD 1 superintendent Ben Greenlaw said that 33 students and three staff members have begun 10-day isolations in accordance with the Maine CDC’s guidelines and plan to return to school Feb. 12. The person who tested positive was last in the high school on Feb. 1.

In a memo released on Tuesday, SAD 1 Superintendent Ben Greenlaw said that a person associated with Zippel who tested positive was last in school on Monday, Jan. 25. Seventeen students and five staff members who are close contacts are now isolating at home and are expected to return to the building on Feb. 5.
