William. Peterson, M.A., LL.D., C.M.G., Principal of McGill University, is a native of the Scottish capital, where he was born in 1856. He has had a distinguished academic career. Educated at the Edinburgh High School and the University, of Edinburgh, he graduated in 1875 with high honors in classics. He subsequently studied at the University of Gottingen, and in 1876 won a scholarship at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. For two years he was Assistant Professor of Humanity at Edinburgh. Thereafter he held the position of Principal of University College, Dundee, until in May, 1895, he was chosen to succeed Sir J. W. Dawson at McGill.

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - A pair of Coastal Carolinaâs biggest weapons on both sides of the ball are taking their game to the next level.
Coastal senior running back CJ Marable and senior defensive end Tarron Jackson both announced Sunday that they are officially declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft.
âThe past three years at Coastal Carolina have been some of the best time of my life,â he said in a statement on Twitter. âThe friendships and bonds Iâve made with teammates and coaches are ones that will never be broken. Thank you, Teal Nation, student body and the community for supporting me from the very beginning.â

Republicans Briton Williams and Stetson Corbitt, and Democrat Richard Adams are vying to replace Mayor Bob Pettit, who announced Dec. 14 that he would not be running for reelection. Williams and Corbitt will compete in the primary Feb. 9, and the winner will face Adams on April 27 in the general election.
Three seats on the city council are up for grabs. There will be at least one new face as Councilman Fletcher Dickert is not running. The partisan primaries are also Feb. 9, with a runoff possible in the Republican race. Incumbents David McGhee and Pat Carpenter look to stay in office and face four challengers for three spots in the general election.

Mr. Adam Abdul-Fatawu Wunizoya who is also the SRC General Secretary for the Tamale College of Education (TACE) was on Thursday December 17th, 2020 elected as the National Treasurer for the famous Teacher Trainees Association in Ghana (TTAG)
The election was part of the association (TTAG)’ 25th Annual Delegates Congress held at the GNAT Village at Abankro in Ejisu of the Ashanti region.
