Godwin Agudey, Presiding Member of Ada-East District Assembly, tasked the Assembly Members when he explained that Assembly Members had the mandate to formulate and executive policies, plans, programmes and strategies for the effective and efficient mobilisation of resources necessary for overall growth and development of their communities.
“We must be an epitome of good leadership, lead and provide guidance for the electorate by finding solutions to minor problems and challenges of society,” he stressed.

The Adansi South District Assembly has assured the teeming youth in the area of their preparedness to engage them on pressing issues that affect them in order to deepen their participation in the local government processes.
On this background, the Youth in the District are encouraged to formally table their concerns through the appropriate channel for the needed attention.
Speaking at a youth dialogue on the “my voice too count campaign”, the Presiding Member of the Assembly Mr. Cosmos Amoah Darkwa who gave the assurance also admonished young people to take an interest and active part in the activities of the Assembly.
Muslims in Tano North Municipality celebrate Eid- Ul -Fitr

A prayer session led by the Chief Imam of the Tano North Municipality, Chief Imam Alhaji Osman Iddrissu was held at Islamic school park to mark the celebration of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Leading the prayer, the Chief Imam, Osman Iddrissu said, Muslims celebrate Eid-UI-Fitr to seek forgiveness from Allah.
He advises Muslim youth in the Municipality and the country as a whole to respect elderly persons and avoid indulging themselves in things that will not bring peace since without peace, a nation cannot develop.
The Special Aide to the Vice President, Dr. Gideon Boako, in a speech, wished all the Muslims ‘’Barka de Sallah’’ on his own behalf and the Vice President of the country said it was imperative to be part of the celebration to give Allah the glory.
Massive rot as 9 heads roll at Keta Municipal Assembly over alleged chop chop

The Keta Municipal Assembly in the Volta Region has kicked out nine of its office holders over their alleged involvement in some financial misappropriations.
The officers according to the assembly, have caused financial loss to the Municipality and must vacant their post with immediate effect for investigations to begin.
Mr Amos Ametsime, the Presiding Member in his pronouncements during the Assembly s meeting on Wednesday, April 28, disclosed that the nine office holders have either connived or have been negligent in drawing back the activities of the assembly.
