WEST CHESTERâThe Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with video commerce retailer QVC to deck the halls of downtown West Chester with âQVC Lights Up West Chesterâ. This installation will continue all season long to share the holiday spirit in support of West Chesterâs small business community.
The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) typically hosts the annual QVC West Chester Christmas Parade, which attracts thousands of spectators, shoppers, and diners to the downtown region. However, this past September, GWCC announced its cancellation of the 2020 parade out of concern for public safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

When Minnie grounded out for Mike Veeck s Saints on June 30, 1993, at Midway Stadium to become the first professional ballplayer to appear in six decades, he was advertised as 70.
When Minnie drew a walk for Mike s Saints on July 16, 2003, still at Midway, to raise that record to seven decades, he was 77, and thus had aged seven years in a decade.
According to Baseball Reference, Minoso was born on Nov. 29, 1925, in Havana, so it would seem Veeck was nudging Minnie s age upward the first time, for dramatic effect.
