Jalen Hurts threw one up, DeSean Jackson ran under it and suddenly, the Eagles led the Cowboys by two scores Sunday afternoon. The Philadelphia offense has lacked any sort of quick-strike component this season, but Jackson provided it in his first game after he was activated from injured reserve following a seven-game stay for an ankle injury.
With Hurts almost certainly locked in as the starter the rest of the season, that s the Eagles new identity on offense is (or at least it should be), and it matches up well against the Cowboys defense.
In the Week 8 Eagles-Cowboys matchup, the Eagles were able to run the ball effectively, even without Miles Sanders, who was out with a knee injury. Boston Scott carried 15 times for 70 yards (4.7 YPC), and Corey Clement carried 5 times for 24 yards (4.8 YPC). The Eagles should be able to do damage on the ground, as long as Doug Pederson makes it a priority.

PHILADELPHIA The Eagles announced their four practice squad protections for Week 16 of the 2020 NFL season.
The Eagles are protecting running back Jordan Howard, offensive tackle Prince Tega Wanogho, linebacker Rashad Smith and tight end Caleb Wilson, the team announced Tuesday.
Each week during the 2020 NFL season, teams are allowed to “protect” four players, which means that another team cannot sign them to the active roster until after that week’s game.

Here’s a look at who played how much in the loss at the Cardinals.
Quarterbacks (out of 83 offensive snaps): Jalen Hurts (83), Carson Wentz (DNP), Nate Sudfeld (inactive).
Analysis: Hurts threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns and added 63 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground. He looked good, and he’ll get another chance to start at the Cowboys in Week 16. He’s given the Eagles the spark that coach Doug Pederson said he wanted to see from the rookie.
