Breckenridge High School seniors make fine showing in amateur production of ‘The Adventures of Grandpa’
Breckenridge High School’s senior class presented their play “The Adventures of Grandpa,” on Thursday evening at the G.A.R. Hall. Director and coach Stephanie Smith’s painstaking and untiring work in the preparation of the play stood out from the beginning of the first act to the fall of the curtain on the last.
As protagonist Monte Ray, Robert Williams had all the necessary qualifications of the character. His performance of the college lad with an allowance was very realistic.
David Hendricks, age 56, of Cadillac, formerly of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.
David was born January 11, 1965 in Alma, the youngest child of Richard and Nancy (Coleman) Hendricks. He graduated from Breckenridge High School and then attended Ferris State University and earned his Bachelors s Degree.
David worked for Innertool in Cadillac. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Breckenridge. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He especially loved family gatherings where he was always in charge of the campfires and enjoyed doing experiments with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Andrew Bouressa will graduate this month from North Dakota State College of Science, equipped with training for a career in the field of HVAC/R.

Andrew Bouressa might have started college a little later than what others normally do, but he knows he is where he needs to be at this stage of his life.
That place is North Dakota State College of Science, where he is seeking a degree in HVAC/R – or heating, ventilation, air condition and refrigeration.
When he graduates this May he will be trained to install, maintain and repair indoor climate-control systems.

Last week, the state reported 189 infections in new outbreaks at 41 K-12 school districts.
The biggest new outbreaks involves 14 children and staff at Teddy Bear Playhouse preschool in Oakland County’s Commerce Township, and 10 students at Harlan Elementary in Bloomfield Hills.
K-12 school outbreaks were identified in 23 counties. Below are those outbreaks listed by county.

Allegan: Gilkey Elementary School in Plainwell, nine students; West Ward Elementary School in Allegan, two students; Fennville High School, two students.
