Spread love to these adoptable friends: Feb 6-7 ADOPTION EVENTS Thanks to the volunteers who are devoted to helping these animals get adopted by loving families like you. It takes a significant amount of time and dedication to volunteer at the animal rescues listed below. Before adopting a new fur friend, volunteers organize pet events every week in and around the borough, send out announcements, hold fundraisers, help with supplies, clean cages, feed animals, make sure a pet’s medical needs are attended to and so much more. All of this is done without pay, all for love, and behind the scenes.

3 sets of roadworks in Warrington over next month

n Stockport Road and nearby routes, Thelwall Carriageway surfacing will see the A56 Stockton Road shut over night from February 22 for five weeks. The work will be from its junction with Bell Lane to its junction with Camsley Lane; A56 Camsley Lane – from its junction with Stockport Road to its junction with Massey Brook Lane; Warrington Road – from its junction with Stockport Road for 50 metres; Lymm Road – from its junction with Stockport Road for 50 metres. The work will be from 7pm to 1am. The alternative route will be via Elm Tree Road, Cherry Lane, Cliff Lane, Knutsford Road and vice versa.
