APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) A Madison man is charged in connection with last week’s shooting in Appleton that injured two people.
Reports of shots fired on Jan. 3 at the Brau Haus in the 500 block of W. College Ave. led officers to find two men with gunshot wounds.
The victims, a 24-year-old from Milwaukee and a 39-year-old from Menasha, were taken to the hospital, treated and released.
Investigators were ultimately able to identify Damon T. Thompson, 23, as the alleged offender in the shooting.
Thompson was taken into custody in Madison by police on Monday.
A meeting was held Monday, Dec. 28 at Zimâs Brau Haus in The Dalles to discuss businesses around the state planning to open for on-premises business on Jan. 1, defying the governorâs mandate.
The first speaker was Sandy Mayor Stan Pulliam, who has vocally supported movements like âOpen Oregon.â Pulliam has recently promoted a coalition of businesses opening on New Yearâs at events and on social media.
âWhat weâre talking about doing is opening up safely, and in a way that â if we can get the governor to shift and change course â gets us back into compliance and legality immediately,â Pulliam said.
