The Société Canadienne-Française de Prince Albert (SCFPA) is once again voicing their displeasure towards the provincial government after they were left out of the budget earlier this month.
According to a media release, the SCFPA is disappointed there was no plan for a new francophone community school in Prince Albert, which the society has been working on since 2018.
A business plan the SCFPA has presented is to buy and transform the Rivier Academy which has been closed since 2017. They explained a business case and cost analysis to renovate the Rivier Academy into a school was sent in February 2020 to the Minister of Education.
