Writing from the Window Seat, Iâm grateful to have amazing Sudbury and Manitoulin friends. These days, I get satisfaction from talking to each one by telephone. I long to hear their voices, and mine, allowing them to laugh at my New York accent, which they do.
If I canât reach them by phone, email, photographs and Facebook fill in the gaps. Seeing my online pals, sunsets and now tulips blooming in Little Current helps in my yearning for flying north to Sudbury and driving to Manitoulin.

Public Health Sudbury and Districts has identified 40 possible sites across its jurisdiction where local residents can receive their COVID-19 vaccines.
The health unit’s Vaccine Playbook, released in January, identified sites being considered as venues where people can receive their shots in mass vaccination events.
The playbook said local vaccine implementation committees will be set up in five geographic areas: Sudbury East, Greater Sudbury, Chapleau, Lacloche Foothills, and Manitoulin Island.
