WILMINGTON Molson Coors released a statement Monday in response to the double homicide that took place in the Providence Road area at the home of George Taylor III, TRU Colors Brewing chief operating officer. The global brand, which has a distribution partnership with TRU Colors, noted it stands in solidarity with the Wilmington brewery.
“We are deeply saddened by this weekend’s tragedy, and have been in contact with George Taylor and the Tru Colors team,” the statement noted. “We have passed along our condolences to the families of the victims and remain as committed as ever to TRU Colors and their mission.”

Sunday, the founder of the brewery, George Taylor father of Taylor III responded to the murders of 21-year-old Bri-yanna Emily Williams and 29-year-old validated gang member, Koredreese Robert Tyson (who went by “Korry”). Tyson apparently had ties to the TRU Colors brand, according to Taylor’s response, which was posted to the brewery’s Twitter account, as first reported by WWAY.
All three victims were sleeping in his son’s home on Providence Road when the incident occurred; Tyson had been living at the residence for a few months, according to the written statement. Taylor addressed the relationships of the victims to his family and business, as well as relayed his son’s reaction to events that transpired July 24.
