Man hospitalized after being found in stolen vehicle is pleading guilty
Law enforcement says they believe he ingested some drugs.

ROCHESTER, Minn. - A man accused of ingesting some drugs while in a stolen vehicle is pleading guilty.
Jeremy Lee Bobo, 43 of Winona, was arrested on December 27, 2020. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says Bobo was found in a vehicle that had been reported stolen the day before. Court documents state Bobo was found in the parked vehicle in the 8400 block of Providence Road NW and he was taken to St. Marys Hospital after his medical condition got worse.

Officers responded to the parking lot of Anthony s Restaurant 800 block of West Springfield Road for a report of two people smoking marijuana inside a vehicle. Officers found the vehicle parked along the property line in the rear and found the driver had been smoking marijuana. The male was identified as a 24 year old from Chester. Charges will be filed.

Columbia police attempted to stop Gire Ngizahayo for going 76 miles per hour in a 40 mph speed limit area near Stadium Boulevard and Ashland Road. The chase went downtown, where the officers caught up to the vehicle at Providence Road and Elm Street, before the driver lost control and crashed into the building at Fifth Street and Elm, police said.
Ngizahayo was released from the Boone County Jail after posting bond, according to jail records.
Ngizahayo is charged with resisting arrest, leaving the scene of an accident and exceeded posted speed limit.

Gire Ngizahayo, 23, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, speeding, careless and imprudent driving, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of a crash, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.
The crash happened after police tried to pull over a driver for speeding near Stadium Boulevard and Ashland Road, police said. The chase went downtown, where the officers caught up to the vehicle at Providence Road and Elm Street, before the driver lost control and crashed into the building at Fifth Street and Elm, police said.
