The European Commission’s Directorate General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO) funds relief operations for victims of natural disasters and conflicts outside the European Union. ECHO works with about 200 operational partners, including United Nations agencies, the Red Cross/Crescent movement and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Aid is channelled impartially, straight to victims, regardless of their race, ethnic group, religion, gender, age, nationality or political affiliation.

· Develop and implement strategies aimed at building the capacity of children, youth, families, communities and local partners
· Coordinate the recruitment of program beneficiaries in conjunction with field workers, community organizations and other non-community structures ;

Making sure that donor requirements are met during the FS project implementation.
· Train and support relevant staff and project partners in Project Cycle Management and Logical Framework Approach (LFA)
· Facilitate the capacity development of Field Officers and other implementation partners with a view to understanding SOS Federation policy guidelines, the development cooperation and humanitarian aid fields, including solid understanding of “local culture/communities;
POSITION GENERAL OBJECTIVE
Advice and support AAH (Action Against Hunger) Sudan Mission in developing strategies for FSL interventions in Sudan and in the implementation of FSL programs (emergency and early recovery).
The Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL) Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, and ensuring smooth implementation of FSL programs through support to the FSL teams and ensuring adherence to AAH and donor guidelines and standards at the central mission level. The FSL Coordinator is in charge of building the capacity of the FSL team as well as AAH internal and external representation and coordination.
