Newborn reunited with parents after carjacking abduction in Detroit
A newborn was reunited with his parents after a man shot at them and stole their car with the baby inside Saturday night on Detroit s east side, police said.
A 35-year-old man whom police said was known by the parents abducted him while carjacking the mother and father.
The 28-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were sitting in a silver Buick Lucerne with their 2-month-old in the back seat in the 9300 block of East Jefferson.
At about 10 p.m., a man with a handgun approached the couple s car on foot. The mother and the father jumped out of the car and the mother exchanged gunfire with the suspect, officials said.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a double-fatal head-on crash involving teenage drivers.
According to the crash report, the collision happened around 9:35 p.m. Thursday on Highway 55 in in west-central Minnesota. More specifically, it happened at Mile Post 51 in Solem Township, Douglas County.
The State Patrol says a Buick Lucerne was eastbound on Hwy. 55 and a Ford F150 was westbound when they collided in a head-on manner.
A 16-year-old girl from Kensington, Minnesota, driving the Buick died at the scene. Her name has not been released. A 19-year-old from Brooten, Minnesota, was behind the wheel of the Ford. The State Patrol identified him as Joseph John Feldman. He also died at the scene.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday (April 19) in the 18000 block of Mount Elliott Street,
A 32-year-old man was sitting in the driver’s seat of a gray 2007 Pontiac G6 when an unknown man approached the car, officials said.
The man spoke with the victim briefly before pulling out a handgun demanding his watch, according to police.
