Rachael Leigh Cook has signed up to appear in the She s All That remake.
The actress originally starred in the 1999 romantic comedy opposite Freddie Prinze Jr., and it was announced on Monday that the 41-year-old will also feature in the upcoming He s All That, the gender-swapped reimagining of the teen classic.
Cook will play the mother of Addison Rae s social media influencer Padgett Sawyer, who is inspired by Prinze Jr. s role as Zack Siler, but according to People, her part is not a reprisal of her character Laney Boggs from the original She s All That. Love, Guaranteed, which went on to become the streamer s no. 1 most-watched film of September. Cook won t be playing Laney Boggs, however. Instead, she ll be a cool mom (to Rae s character) this time around, Deadline notes, and adds that the movie should hit all the marks from the original.

Rachael Leigh Cook has joined the cast of the She s All That remake He s All That.

Cook played Laney Boggs in She s All That, which centered on popular student Zack Siler s (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) efforts to make the nerdy Laney popular. In the remake, Cook will play the mother of Padgett Sawyer, portrayed by TikTok star Addison Rae.
He s All That follows Padget (Rae), a social media influencer who is humiliated online and accepts a challenge to turn Cameron Kweller (Tanner Buchanan), an unpopular boy, into into prom king.
Kourtney snags movie role
The brunette beauty is currently studying her script as she gears up to show off her acting chops.
Kourtney shared the news with the world on Tuesday December 8, by posting a photo of herself laying in bed with the movie script in hand.
She simply captioned the post, “studying” and she tagged the Instagram page for the movie, He’s All That.
Her friend and now castmate, Addison Rae also commented on the post as followers and friends sent in their congratulations to the KUWTK star for snagging the role.
The 41-year-old will reportedly play a character by the name of Jessica Miles Torres.
