A Telangana man who went missing in April 2017 has been found - he had been detained by Pakistan after illegally crossing the border on his way to Switzerland.
Prashanth, an IT sector employee, was released Monday and handed over to Indian officials at the Attari-Wagah border crossing in Punjab.

HYDERABAD: A Hyderabad-based software engineer who had crossed over into Pakistan on his way to meet his lover in Switzerland, and was arrested by the police in Bhawalpur, Pakistan, was repatriated through the Wagah border on Monday.
Waindam Prashant, a resident of Madhapur and a native of Vizag, was brought back to Hyderabad on Tuesday evening, said Cyberabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar.

Prashanth, the Hyderabadi techie who trespassed into Pakistan two years ago, is back in the city, putting behind the gruelling ordeal and a torturous wait for his parents.
Reported missing in April 2017 in Hyderabad, Prashanth was arrested by the Pakistani security forces after he crossed over the Indo-Pakistani border.

Hyderabad: An engineering student died and two of his friends suffered injuries after their bike rammed into the divider on Durgam Cheruvu flyover on December 18. The youngsters were drunk and the rider did not have a driving licence, the police said.
The deceased had been identified as Shiva (20). Madhapur police filed a case under Section 304 (II) against the two friends, Prashant and Vijay (22). All three are residents of Sircilla town and were school friends. On the night of December 17, the friends celebrated Prashant’s birthday at his flat in Yousufguda, after which they went for a bike ride late night.
