Fexco Fiji Pte Limited has launched a Viber group to facilitate in customer queries.
Fexco Fiji is one of three Western Union master agents in Fiji, trading as No.1 Currency Fiji.
Fexco Fiji Ltd head of shared services and communications Joape Kuruyawa said the company directed customer inquiries to their call centre and social media platforms.
It was a measure created by the company to provide services during COVID-19 lockdown and curfews.

Post Fiji Limited will be digitizing its money transfer services after scrapping Vodafone’s MPAiSA from its 58 outlets.
Chief Executive, Anirudha Bansod, says they’ve been providing MPAiSA services since 2013 and it has affected their revenue.
Bansod says their assessment has shown that Post Fiji receives very little commission by providing this service.

He adds most of the commissions earned are from the money order business due to its volume.
“What I wanted the Vodafone people to understand that we have been so graciously providing the support for such a long period f time not getting much benefit to Post Fiji but when we struggle it is the time for us to protect and sustain our business and it has a logical interpretation of that.”

Sending and receiving money through Vodafone’s M-PAiSA platform will no longer be a service offered through Post Fiji Limited.
Post Fiji cited conflicting and competing interests as a reason behind the decision to terminate money transfer services through Vodafone Fiji’s M-PAiSA platform.
