BPD in the Community: On Thursday July 22, 2021, officers assigned to the District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) Community Service Office and members of the BPD Bureau of Community Engagement participated in the ongoing Dancing in the Park program at English High School in Jamaica Plain. The officers led the way with choreography and guidance for an intense dance workout with a focus on overall health and wellness.

Dancing in the Park, also known as Soca in the Park, takes place every Thursday evening at 6:00 PM and will be ongoing through August 12, 2021. BOSTON Two Boston police officers went to the hospital after sustaining injuries in a fight on a school bus Friday morning. One officer was bitten and the other was kicked in the head by a student, Fox News reported.
According to Sgt. John Boyle of the Boston Police Department, police received a 911 call around 8 a.m. Friday morning regarding a fight. The bus was traveling with students to a summer learning program.
A child was seriously injured prior to the arrival of police and was subsequently taken the hospital with with an unspecified, non-life threatening injury.
Boston cops attacked by McKinley School students
A fight broke out among the students at the McKinley School as they were being taken to a summer learning program at Orchard Gardens School, according to Boston Public Schools statement to Daily Mail. Police responded to the 911 complaint made around 8 am on July 23. The driver of the bus pulled over and police and EMS responded and it was not clear immediately as to what sparked the fight between three of the students.
It was reported that Boston Police Department said that one of their officers was kicked in the head and the other was bitten by a student while responding to the fight. Both of them had to be hospitalized after sustaining injuries. Additionally, a child was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury that was inflicted before the police officers could reach the scene. The bus driver and bus monitor were also taken to the hospital for evaluation, according to the school district. The rest of the stud
