COVID-19 exposed long-standing stresses within and among our communities. We experienced a national racial reckoning in the wake of police killings of Black men and women, a rise in unrest around the country and an ever-deepening political and social divide.

Christmas comes early for local groups thanks to store s generosity

Christmas has arrived early for six local groups thanks to a recent announcement from the Asda Foundation. Saturday, 19th December 2020, 8:51 am Asda colleagues Jess Young (L) and Jane Alder (R) helping to spread Christmas joy to the local community. Earlier this year, customers at Boston’s Asda store were invited to nominate not for profit groups in the local area that held a special place in their hearts. The six successful group, who will all receive £300 each, are 107 Endeavour FM, Boston Women’s Aid, Restore Church , Boston Community Transport, Centrepoint Outreach, and Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire. The groups, all based in the area around the Lister Way supermarket, went out of their way to go above and beyond to make sure that nobody was on their own throughout the pandemic.
