Public Health Sudbury and Districts has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Immaculate Conception School in Val Caron after another person tested positive for the virus.
In accordance with provincial guidance, an outbreak in a school setting is declared when two or more laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 are linked and occur within 14 days of each other, and at least one case could have acquired their infection in the school.

âPublic health is working closely with the school community and Sudbury Catholic District School Board to ensure all necessary public health measures are put into place to identify potential cases and limit spread,â the agency said.
