DAVENPORT The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 19-year-old Davenport man on charges he was blackmailing a 15-year-old Illinois girl with nude pictures she had sent to him when she was 13.
Investigators say Antonio Luis Medina had a relationship with the victim, whom he met about three years ago in the online gaming site Discord. Investigators say the pair began private messaging through that gaming site, talking often, and that’s when they say Medina began pressuring the girl for “nude/partially clothed/child erotica photographs of herself.” She sent him about 20 images and videos.
According to Illinois State Police Special Agent Josh Heer, the lead investigator on the case, the girl “realized Medina was toxic and merely using her for naked photographs. (She) did not like how the relationship made her feel and upon ending the relationship, Medina became hostile. Medina even went as far as to reach out to (the) Victim s brother for help
