Nearly 18 hours after the autopsy on businessman Mansukh Hiren - whose body was fished out of the Thane Creek marshes - his distraught family accepted his mortal remains for the last rites, here on Saturday evening. Close relatives, including his brother, went to a hospital in Kalwe, completed the relevent formalities and took charge of Hiren s body. However, the autopsy report comprising the findings and opinion of the four-member medical team, has been kept in reserve while his viscera has been preserved for a forensic analysis, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-I), Avinash Ambure. Ambure added that the post-mortem report has been shared with the family members , but he declined to elaborate on what grounds further investigations are on.

Pune: Days after the death of 22-year-old Tik Tok star Pooja Chavan in Maharashtra’s Pune, the incident took a political turn after an audio clip surfaced hinting at the involvement of a state minister in the matter.
The opposition BJP, led by former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has called for an impartial probe into the incident. Fadnavis has sent a letter along with the purported audio clips to the Director-General of Police Hemant Nagrale seeking a detailed investigation.

Dhananjay Munde
Mumbai–Maharashtra Social Justice Minister Dhananjay Munde found himself in a spot on Wednesday after his self-confessed second wife accused him of harassment and confining their two children at his official bungalow.
In a complaint to Director-General of Police Hemant Nagrale, Karuna Sharma, the aggrieved woman, has alleged that Munde has kept their two children in ‘confinement’ at his bungalow Chitakoot.
She claimed that when she went to meet the kids on January 24, a large posse of policemen prevented her entry. She also levelled other allegations against the minister.
Demanding action against Munde, Sharma threatened to go on a hunger strike from February 20 either outside the Mantralaya, the minister’s bungalow or the Azad Maidan.
