Police have arrested a 19-year-woman this afternoon, who is believed to be responsible for four robberies at retail premises in Christchurch.
The first allegedly occurred on Bealey Avenue just before 7pm last night.
A further three allegedly happened today on:
Ilam Road, Bryndwr – reported to Police just before 11.30am
Hills Road, Edgeware – reported to Police just after 12pm
Worcester Street, Linwood – reported to Police just after 1.30pm.
Nobody was injured as a result of these incidents however cash and tobacco products were allegedly stolen.
Charges are being considered and the women is expected to appear in the Christchurch District Court tomorrow.
He was surrounded by work colleagues, one of whom was administering CPR on the injured man. As she drove past fire engines pulled up at the scene, and were quick to take over attempts to help the man. An ambulance and three police cars were also nearing the location of the crash. “I believe they were doing road works on that part of the motorway as there were cones and reduced speed signs in place.” The witness said it appeared the road workers had moved a truck to block the view of onlookers as they attempted to help the injured man.

Police can confirm one person has died following the crash involving a train and a truck in Marton.
The crash, which occurred near Saunders Road, was reported around 3:30pm.
The person who died was travelling in the truck.
Cordons are in place at the entrance to Saunders Road while a scene examination takes place.
An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway.
The Transport Accident Investigation Commission has been advised.

A 29-year-old man has been charged following a fatal crash on the Tauranga Eastern Link Road near Papamoa earlier this year.
Uthai Phonphong was killed in the crash which occurred on 17 January 2021.
The 29-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter, conspiracy to deal a Class A drug and conspiracy to deal a Class B drug. He will be appearing in the Tauranga High Court on 26 May 2021.

A 25-year-old man has been charged in relation to recent threats to Member of Parliament Simeon Brown.
The man was arrested today without incident at a Lower Hutt property.
“I would like to acknowledge the outstanding work of our staff from both the Criminal Investigation Branch in Counties Manukau, where the original complaint was received, and the team in Lower Hutt who located the alleged offender today,” says Wellington Field Crime Manager Detective Inspector Darrell Harpur.
“They worked closely together under urgency to get this result.”
The man is due to appear in the Hutt Valley District Court on Thursday 13 May where he will face a charge of threatening to kill.
