Car flips on its roof after suspected drink-driver hits wall in Cookstown

Police have issued a stern warning after a young girl was left shaken following a near miss with a suspected drink-driver in Cookstown earlier today.  The car came off the Tulnacross Road this afternoon after hitting a wall before flipping onto its roof. Officers said the driver narrowly missed a young girl who was coming the other direction and who has been left deeply shocked by the incident. Posting on social media, Police Mid Ulster said officers arrived at the scene and found that the car s interior resembled a mobile off sales . They blamed the crash on a drunk getting behind the wheel of a car .

Suspected hit and run in Dungannon Police in Dungannon have appealed for information following a suspected hit and run 28 December, 2020 16:00 POLICE in Dungannon have appealed for information after a man was seriously injured in a suspected hit and run incident. Shortly after 7pm yesterday, the Oaks Road in Dungannon was closed to traffic after a man, believed to have been struck by a car, was discovered injured close to a fast food restaurant and taken to hospital. A PSNI spokeserson said: A male is currently receiving treatment in hospital for injuries reported to have been as a result of a hit and run collision on the road shortly after 7pm.
