Using genetic matching and genealogy research, investigators issued a warrant for Angela Siebke s, a 47-year-old resident of Whitehall, Ohio, DNA on Dec. 1, 2020, according to a statement from the Moline Police Department.
The Moline Police Department has made an arrest in the April 11, 1992 homicide of Baby April.

A warrant was issued for Siebke s arrest on Dec. 17, 2020.
Siebke is being charged with first degree murder and is being held in Rock Island County jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
When Baby April was found dead in 1992, Siebke was a resident of Orion, Illinois, according to the statement.

A Whitehall woman has been charged with murder in the death of an infant whose body was found in a trash bag floating along the banks of the Mississippi River nearly 30 years ago.
47-year-old Angela Siebke is being held in the Rock Island County Jail on 1 million dollars bail. The child whose body was found in Moline, Illinois, became known as “Baby April” for the month in 1992 when it was found. Moline Police Chief Darren Gault credited advancements in the use of DNA for the arrest.

MOLINE, Ill. (AP) An Ohio woman has been charged with murder in the death of an infant whose body was found in a trash bag floating along the shores of Mississippi River nearly 30 years ago.
An arrest warrant was issued Thursday for Angela Siebke, 47, of Whitehall, Ohio, and formerly of Orion, Illinois. She was being held in the Rock Island County Jail with bail set at $1 million, the Quad-City Times reported.
