One Dead After 18-Wheeler Crash Officials with the Rayne Police Department say, via press release, that one person has died after there was a major crash that happened on Interstate Ten eastbound. This crash has claimed the life of the man who was driving a pickup truck that was involved in this crash that happened around 6:45 Wednesday morning. Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly says that a pickup truck going westbound apparently crossed the median of the interstate and slammed into an 18-wheeler. The pickup truck burst into flames, and both of the vehicles ended up in the median of Interstate Ten. The Rayne Volunteer Fire Department was called to put out the blaze.
