Raider Andrew Donoghue ran from the Dulsie Road, Bournemouth property when the victim woke up at midnight. The same man was also found inside a property in Rosemount Road in Bournemouth. Donoghue, 38, of Suffolk Road, Bournemouth admitted two charges of burglary and was jailed for four years and four months when he appeared before Bournemouth Crown Court. At around midnight on Monday September 21 last year the occupant of a home in Dulsie Road was asleep when they woke to find an intruder going through the drawers in their room. The man ran out of the room and out of the front door.

Burglar who broke into home while family slept is jailed

A MAN who broke into a Bournemouth home while the occupants slept has been handed down a three year prison sentence. Colin Wayne Gill, aged 47 and of St Peters Road, Basingstoke, was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, February 25, after being found guilty of burglary and admitting three counts of fraud by false representation. The court was told that Gill broke in while the family living there were all asleep. He stole a purse which contained bank cards. They were subsequently notified that their cards had been used at nearby stores including petrol stations in Bath Road and Holdenhurst Road with the transactions totalling £48.76.

A VIOLENT robber who attacked the same woman twice has been jailed for three years. Viktor Lastovka, aged 35, of Commercial Road, Bournemouth, attacked the woman – who was known to him – twice in as many days. On the first occasion he threatened to kill her if she didn t comply with his demands. Officers investigating described the offences as nasty which left left the victim fearing for her safety . Police Constable Liam Moss, of Dorset Police s priority crime team, said: I would like to praise her (the victim) for having the strength to come forward and report the matter. “Thanks to her support we were able to ensure that Lastovka was brought before the court to face the consequences of his violent actions.”
