Police in Waterloo are asking for the public s help in locating two persons of interest in a May homicide.
23-year old Dayton Matlock was killed, and two women were injured in a shooting that took place in the early morning hours on May 15.
After an investigation, police say 25-year old Marcus Sykes had a gun at the time of the shooting, and evidence indicates he fled to the Des Moines area. He may be with 23-year old Shireca Wilson, who has a warrant out for her arrest on a probation violation.
Anyone in the Des Moines area with information regarding the whereabouts of Sykes and/or Wilson is asked to call 911. Police in Waterloo are looking for the driver of a truck found in a lake, according to KWWL. Police were called to Harold Getty Lake around 8:00 Sunday morning where they found a white Ford F150 partially submerged. They found nobody in the vehicle. The owner of the truck had reported the vehicle stolen. The identity of the driver remains a mystery. If you have any information in this case you are asked to contact Waterloo Police.
