I don t ever recall a New Year s Eve like this : Gunfire leaves two dead, including a child, in Texas Jordan Culver, USA TODAY UP NEXT Police in Texas are investigating a string of incidents involving people firing guns on New Year s Eve one of which police say led to the death of a child.  The Arlington Police Department on Friday detailed multiple incidents of New Year s Eve gunfire on its Facebook page. Two of the incidents ended in fatalities, while a third ended in an exchange of gunfire between suspects and an officer who responded alongside two security guards.  Police have arrested suspects in those three cases, though they re still hunting for a suspect in a fourth case posted late Friday.

Police say the man is accused of stealing a vehicle that was left running in the 700 block of Everett Street. The vehicle was later found in an assigned parking space and was towed by the parking space’s owner.

Stolen vehicles, 4-foot-tall nutcracker figurines seized in Richmond RCMP investigation

  VANCOUVER Police in Richmond say they arrested five people and recovered several stolen items connected to an ongoing fraud investigation Saturday. Officers executed three separate search warrants - one in Vancouver and two in Richmond - as part of their investigation into a multi-jurisdictional crime group committing frauds throughout the province, Richmond RCMP said in a news release. Police did not say where the properties were located or provide any identifying details about the five people arrested. They did say that the execution of the search warrants led to the temporary closure of a section of Cambie Road in Richmond Saturday afternoon.
