Officers said “it is understood” a white Mitsubishi Evolution Lancer 5 struck a security guard at the park, in Dayton Drive, just off the Kingsway, on Saturday April 3, around 4.20pm. The man suffered a leg injury as a result. Bodies of Bennylyn Burke and daughter formally identified

Two bodies which were recovered from a house in Dundee last month have now been formally identified as missing South Gloucestershire woman Bennylyn Burke, 25, and her daughter Jellica, two. Police in Dundee attended a property on Troon Avenue around 3.20pm on Friday, March 5 as part of an enquiry into the disappearance of Bennylyn and two children who had been reported missing from South Gloucestershire on March 1. On March 8 a 50-year-old man appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court charged with the murders of Bennylyn and Jellica, and the bodies were recovered on March 18. They have now been formally identified. Bennylyn and Jellica s family have been updated and are being supported by police family liaison officers.

Police in Dundee investigating attempted dog thefts

Updated: March 16, 2021, 5:15 pm © PA Archive/Press Association Ima Police in Dundee say they are currently dealing with two attempted dog thefts in the city, following on from two incidents in Baxter Park last week. On Saturday, at around 3pm on Stannergate, a 14-year-old boy was approached by three men, one of whom attempted to take his dog’s lead from him. One of the men is described as white, in his mid 20s, 6ft 1in in height and of heavy build. He was wearing all black and spoke with an Irish accent. The second man is described as white, in his early 20s, 5ft 9in in height and of slim build. He was wearing a navy jacket and grey jogging bottoms.
