Craigavon Senior High School: Two pupils receive treatment after vaping incidents

In separate incidents on Wednesday and Thursday, ambulances were called out to the Portadown campus of Craigavon Senior High School. Police confirmed their inquiries were ongoing. In the letter sent on Friday, the school referred to recent incidents involving student vaping devices . On Wednesday, one ambulance was sent to the school after Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received an emergency call at 10:30 BST.

On both occasions the school went into a ‘stay put’ alert as medics dealt with the casualties - a lockdown policy the school uses to protect the dignity of those suffering medical issues and for pupils’ protection. School Principal Ms Ruth Harkness confirmed there had been ‘a number of recent incidents involving student vaping devices’.

Police stopped a number of youths at Holme Wood in a Trojan bus operation A NUMBER of youths were stopped on the Holme Wood estate on Friday as part of a Trojan bus operation targeting anti-social and nuisance behaviour. Officers from the Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team posted on Facebook: On the evening of Friday, April 23, officers from Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team, Bradford Special Constabulary and Bradford ASB Team deployed in partnership with First Bus as part of Operation Trojan Bus to tackle anti-social behaviour, criminal damage and nuisance behaviour in the Holme Wood estate. A successful operation saw a number of youths stopped. All will be dealt with appropriately through anti-social behaviour partnership working. Thankfully, on the evening no damage was caused to buses or cars.

Several number plates have reportedly been stolen from vehicles across Cambridgeshire. - Credit: Facebook/Policing Fenland  Several number plate thefts from “numerous” vehicles across Fenland have been reported to police, sparking a warning from officers.   Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s Fenland Neighbourhood Policing Team are urging any victims of number plate thefts to report it immediately.   A police spokesperson said: “We have recently been made aware of numerous thefts of number plates from vehicles in the region.  “Aside from the obvious inconvenience, costs and damage to vehicles these thefts cause with regards to having to replace the physical plates, these thefts also cause stress, worry and concern to victims whose vehicles have been targeted.
